none of those engine would be exactly like the usdm versions.

jdm gsr engines have higher compression than usdm ones.
jdm type r engines have higher compression also
the 97+ type r engines had a different final drive taht wasn't even an option in the US.
all jdm engines are obd1, while most engines from 96 on here were obd2.
