Some people need the constant reminder that they have someone, hence most people can't spend a week being single and would rather be with someone totally obtuse from who they are than be alone. I am different, I am not clingy and I am able to function perfectly on my own. One of my close friends is dating a girl that smokes, he hates people that smokes and I told him that he was doing it because he can't be alone and needs constant attention and that is absolutely correct.
