Is it possible to put new pistions and rods in 2000 civic ex without taking the whole motor out of the car, has anyone done this before? I was talking to someone and they said about pulling the head off and then taking off everything underneith(oil pan and what not) and then i would be able to take the old ones out and drop the news ones in from the top.
Also if i am gonna do this i am gonna need:
Pistons
Rods
Piston rings
rod bearings?????not sure on that one
anything else
Anything for the head? new studs or head gasket
This is all prep for turbo, down the road.
