(2000 Accord LX Sedan)

My SRS light came on after pulling the SRS fuse. I've now learned my lesson. The SRS light is now on.

I have tried the paperclip method of jumping the brown and black wires on the 16-pin Data Link Connector.

I jumped the wires.
I turned on the ignition on and the SRS light stayed on for 6 seconds, then went off.
I disconnected the paperclip within the 4 seconds time frame.
The light came back on as anticipated.
I reconnected the paperclip within 4 seconds - but the light never went off again.

Any advise?
Autozone??
