Do your new baby a favor and use a better filter. I would highly recommend PureOne (blue box, also available at all the places you said), K&N (can be ordered via Autozone, has a spot for a 1" wrench to grab on, real handy), or Mobil 1.

You'll pay a couple bucks more for the PureOne and a few bucks more for the others, but you'll see much better filtration and less chance of failure.


If you are absolutely stuck on the Frams, get the X3 or the super heavy duties. Those at least don't have cardboard internals.
