how often do you change?

most recommended is 7500 miles.

do you think the contamination in the engine will not be able to contain the filter, since they are so small these days. The syn. oil
will not breakdown that soon, but the contaminates from dust, carbon, shit....etc.

thnx for your feed back.

most German cars...like the bmw, they do change until 8-9000 miles....and folks in Germany too.

I had an '88 Integra that I drove for 285K miles. I changed the oil filter at 3,500 miles and then the filter and oil at 7,000 miles. I used Fram filters that you can get at any Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Autozone, etc.

I adjusted the valves myself so I got to see under the valve covers a couple times a year. The cams showed no wear, and there was no sludge.

I will say that when I changed oil it was blacker that a black cat in a coal mine at midnight. Apparently, that didn't hurt the engine.

I now have an '03 RSX-S and plan to change oil on the same schedule.
