Exactly. I had a bolt-on pair that I attempted to swap over to the DC4 from my GTi. All it took was for the gas pedal plate to break free from its clamp...and get stuck under the bottom of the brake pedal.:eek3:
If this had happened while I was on Panoramic Hwy instead of Hwy 101 in the middle of the afternoon, I probably wouldn't be here today.
I would STRONGLY ADIVSE YOU to use countersunk bolts and Loctite and BOLT YOUR PADS ON. DRILL THROUGH THE STOCK PEDAL and BOLT those fawkers down.
Or learn to do without.
