I don't think it's axle related because it goes and comes back whereas the axle wouldn't go.

I took it to a local garage and they've checked the valve clearances and such like and can't see anything wrong.

I'm not willing to take the head off until I can diagnose the problem. the garage said they didn't have time till next week.

They said that if I used injector cleaner then this should remove most of the carbon. I'm not convinced.

I've now taken it Honda and a local garage and they're both useless.

Looks like I'll have to take the head off myself. Is there anything weird about taking the head off a Prelude?

I've done it before on two other cars but not with DOHC and VTEC.

Torque settings on head bolts? Please help so that I don't mess it up.
