but just don't take it to the extreme and think that a car like a Celica, Triburon, Civic, RSX or S2000 is going to take on a fully prepared Mustang, BMW, or Porsche on a road course. I am not lying when I say that big torque is needed in serious road race competition.
I'll agree with you in saying that the Celica, Tiburon, etc... won't take on the Mustang, BMW, or Porsche but the S2000 could run with those three. Take that video posted a while back, the S2000 spanked the Porsche Boxster (same class) and probably could have beat the M3 had the skyline not gotten in its way.
