I might get a CRX
If I could find one that isn't riced out, I'm gonna hunt the junkyards to find one that has a chassis in decent shape and then try and try and get a shell. Way I look at it if I do go into SCCA racing it'll probably be the cheapest way to start because they do allow non Si CRX 84-87 in the Improved Touring C class. Blue book on one is less that $1000, once I strip it off everything I could salvage some more money for a roll cage and other safety gear. The Accord would be eligible for ITC, but I don't know if I want to use my daily driver.
So... no more eating out... no more tech toys... gonna have to save money big time if I want to have a car by the end of the year. Once my brother gets into town I'll talk to him, he wants to get SCCA certified for his 30th b'day but he wants to go to a driving school. Those cost around $5k and up, but it might be cheaper for us to get certified if we use our own car.
