Hey whiteaccord, is your car a 2003? I can't imagine the dealer wanting to charge you ANYTHING.

When I sense anything at ALL wrong with my car (squeak, brakes, etc) I make an appointment. When I get to the dealer I'm driving away within 10 minutes in a rental/loaner. They take up none of my time nor charge me anything.

When I asked how they could operate like this, they said that Honda pays them for all their warranty work.

In other words, sounds like your dealer is trying to rip you.
