I got a few things to say:

sorry not ALL NA 240s are boats ;] Not the fastest things out there but they are quite fun to drive. (I have one). If you want boats, look at latest gen Preludes (lol jk) as far as races go I've beat newset gen preludes (he had basic bolt tons, I had intake and exhaust on a 90k mile clutch) by 1/2 a car, although he was catching up, and I suspect he woudl've had me if we kept going.

Handed a stock (I think) SI his ass by 2-3 cars w/ the same set up as before (then he did the expected ricer fly by and flashed his hazards and almost ran into a SUV, the only other car on the road at the time)


But then again, I barely (and even lost coupla times when I spun tires all throughout 1st gear and bogged 2nd) beat my friend's SI w/ intake, header, exhaust, clutch, and lightened flywheel, VTEEC controller, and a GSR tranny (I've been told the GSR tranny has taller gearing so taht should've slowed him down a bit, but I'm not a Honda guy so I really can't say)... by the way this was recent w/ intake, header, exhaust, cams, clutch, and flywheel -

although I think I should* beat him w/ my set up, but that was the 1st time I've "raced" with the new clutch - it grabs really well and I end up not getting traction and bog into second, I need to get used to it, I had a much better feel for my stock clutch.


stock sr vs. stock type R I'd say sr by a little bit but consider
1. most state sides SRs are not stock (in fact I'd go as far as to say most exhausts and downpipes are aftermarket)
2. most SRs stateside have been sitting many months or even years in a junkyard, then shipped over here

Also I forgot his s/n but whoever said he was putting down around 170 whp on a NA 240sx I'd like to see your dynos, as far as I know no one has been able to hit that high w/o bottom end work.


edit: I'm on stock open diff., most 240sx in the states are not LSD equipped
