OK, let's crunch numbers.

H22A swap, about $2k
shipping, $300
mounts, $650 (HASport MSRP)
axles, $400 (HASport MSRP)
Cable shift assembly, about $50

That's $3400 so far.

Plus a new water pump, timing belt, hoses, plugs, wires, engine oil, transaxle oil, coolant, replacements for shit that breaks, etc.

I hope you can put in in yourself too, or else you'd be looking at $500 to $1500 installation labour costs if you take it to a shop.

Prices are significantly cheaper for a B-series. You need to buy a B18B swap to keep things simple, or else you'll need to source a transaxle, ECU, axles, intake manifold, and some other stuff by yourself because B20B/Z longblocks don't come with that junk. Yes, you need it all.

On that note, lots of people will buy a B18B longblock "without parts on it." It is a valuable engine alone, about a $100 head and a $300ish block. You could probably squeeze $500 out of it whole, including the leftover CRV manifolds.
