SPL-sound pressure level (basically a measurement of how hard and loud your bass hits)

SQ- Sound Quality

SPL is for bassheads, they try to get their system to hit as hard as it possible can to achieve the highest spl measurement in decibels.

SQ is for the audiophiles(like me, even though im broke ) that like a balanced system, clean, crisp mids and highs with a nice tight, clean sounding bass. Volume isn't as much a priority as quality of sound is to us.
