Yep, it's a common problem. Mine has gone off for a day or two a couple times. Then just comes back on. It's easy to pull the clock out, try and re-adjust the bulb, if that doesn't work, try a new bulb. All you do is pry at the edges of the clock, careful not to scratch the trim. I can remove mine with my fingers, but the first time it required a small flathead screwdriver.
