Your car is FWD, heavier, and has less power. Do the math. I raced a 1st gen NA eclipse in my 91 240 (i have 2) which is stock, and it was the most pathetic race I’ve ever seen. I'd bet my life that I would rock your Eclipse when my 240 was NA.
It might have been an 89-90, all I know is that it had pop-ups... I can't tell apart the years. Also which 1st gen NA eclipse did you race, the 1.8 version or the 2.0... both of which have less power than my car. Also my car has a completely different engine than a 1st gen, so the cars aren't really comparable. I never raced a S14 version, but I'm sure it could take me.

Even open Diff RWD is better than FWD. This is at LACR. Which is the slickest worse track there is (anyone who has ran there knows what i'm talking about)
I pulled a couple of low 2.2 60fts (2.23 being my best) with my open diff FWD Eclipse, but I haven't been to many different tracks so I can't compare track conditions.
Either way I still call BS on the OLD post about the 240sx beating the GS-T unless it had like a leaky wastegate or bov, maybe had a plug pulled, or maybe the turbo was dead.
