It is a great engine. The "new LS/VTEC" would be to incorporate the K24 block (2.4 ltr) from the Element and a head from a Type-S RSX. They did that combo in Honda Tuning to a new Civic Si and reportedly put out 293hp with a supercharger. Thats
serious engineering to get almost 300 hp from a 4 cylinder.
