I just went to one of the local HAND car washes here in town and seemed like some of the rim damage's "powder debris" was cleaned away and the damage doesnt look so bad...any comments on HAND car washes---you know, the ones where the guys are in there with wash mitts and detailing the cars? Its getting too cold here in NY to do the car by hand, and I dont have a garage or driveway.

Do these rim shops you speak of need to have the rims sent away?
