as for the generic one...it might be just like the DC. My friend has a generic one from Auto Zone. it feels cheap (way too light), the shifts feel cheap, and it's way too tall.

I have also heard of DC's snapping, and generic ones probably aren't any more rigid. If you have the cash, Neuspeed or C's is the way to go.
