My experience with computers is that there's seldom any seemingly logical reason for stuff like that. You say you see the windows boot up screen but it never gets in? I had a similar problem after flashing to a new BIOS using the onboard utility, only to flash from Windows and have it work :scratch:
My Abit boards allows me to flash before booting up. Try getting the latest BIOS on floppy, along with all the utilities, and flashing from there.
Try booting from CD, and removing the Monitor from your C drive that way.
If you have a boot disk, that means you can get into DOS prompt, right? Try removing the Monitor from there.
