Get a can of Krylon flat black spray paint and mask it off REALLY GOOD. Just take newspaper and some masking tape then go to town. I'd sand it a bit first though...like a 400 grit then a 800 grit after the first couple coats
I wouldn't risk taking it off. I think it's glued on or something
