After the price drop, sales of the system have quadrupled and are holding strong. Nintendo is still developing games for the GC, and any decent 3rd party developers are still with them. They're also already working on the next generation gaming consoles, both handheld and home.
Ehhhhh...... love my GC as well but you have to be a realist about these things.
GC has some of the worst developer support in the business. Lowest number of titles available. Lowest frequency of releases dates (because of previous items mentioned). Sales of the system itself are nowhere near that of the PS2 or the Xbox.
dont get me wrong because it is a great gaming platform, but they just don't have the market at this point...you want a handheld then you own a Nintendo, but when it comes to console it tends to be one of the other two if not both.
Me personally I own all 3 and I play each of them pretty regular....but I haven't bought a game for the GC in almost 6 months and for the PS2 its been about 4 months.
