just making sure. basically using it as a switch then. is the second router hooked up to the network already? i think the WAP has to be hooked into a live network, not get used to connect two points. so the wap would be plugged into the router downstairs for you to get signal upstairs. i believe that's the point of the wap (make a wired network wireless, not extend a wireless network).
