The access point should be hooked up the WAN port on the router. Then configure the access point to get it's signal from the router downstairs (channel, SSID, WEP, etc..) and have the router set to obtain IP automatically ('cause your downstairs router connected to the DSL modem should already be taking care of the PPoE crap).

Wouldn't it have just been easier to get a wireless PCI card for your PC and hook the access point to that?
I configured it all like you said but still getting nothing:thinking: :happysad:

Do I have to clone the mac id from the AP for the router maybe?
