My car has been rear ended three times, twice by a Toyota 4runner and a third time by a Mitsubishi Galant. All three accidents caused significant damage... but my local Honda delaership did a decent repair job and I have had no further problems that could be related to the accident. As with any car, however, you can always tell where it has been repaired... even with the use of factory components. I see small traces of discoloration, and a lot of hidden overspray. Also, the bumper, trunk and tail lamps don't match up as perfectly as they did from the factory. I've owned 5 cars alltogether.. and 3 of them have been rearended and the results were the same. In all cases, however... the accidents did not stem further problems other than bulb blow outs, water in trunk or tail lights, and rear end suspension noises. My Accord has not had any of these problems even after three blows to the butt...still feels solid and middle-aged, not old. It feels like it will easily go another 100 grand. Gotta love those little F22 4 bangers.
Thanks for your input. Although I believe that the problems you encountred after the accidents were significant enough to warrant a different response other than "did not seem to stem further problems other than....bulb burnouts, water in trunk/tail lights, rear end suspension noises..." I think these are significant post-accident happenings, dont you?
