i can add Clifford tilt sensor, proximity sensor and all that features to almost any alarm. in fact, i just ordered Clifford digital tilt sensor, all extra add on features and Alpine Sec-150 . you wanna know how much everything costs, 580 CND installed. but if i want G4 with all the accesories, the total will be close to 1000 CND. so wha'ts the point?
the point is that if something was to happen and you need a warranty replacement, it wouldn't be covered since you are using it with an Alpine system. Once again, the difference is that Clifford alarms are "always on", Alpine is "always off". This is a HUGE difference. The point is that Cliffords products are superior to just about all. Does that Alpine have an anti car jack feature on it? The clifford does, what happens is once you start the car, you have like 15 or 30 seconds to enter a 4 digit code via small numeric key pad that is installed where ever you want it. If you get car jacked, the jacker is gonna have to open the door right? Once that door is closed, if the codes isn't entered with the time limit then whatever circuit you have it wired to(most people wire it to fuel pump) is killed and the alarm goes off. Can't get too far in 15-30 seconds. They can cut all the wires they want, if you have a hidden self powered siren (like clifford does), the "brain" can't tell the siren to shut up so its gonna go off. Cut the wires to the blackjax (anti car jack system)? Siren will go off cause circiut is open, can't get the signal to shut up. See what the point is yet?
