There is nothing shitty about them, a friend of mine (HatchVX) installed them and got them working just fine. If you have any idea how to wire, it's simple.

Red wires are usually "hot" (+)
Black wires are usually "cold" (-)

Fuses are non-directional. You can put the positive and negitive on either side. Whichever side connects to the battery (probably a very short wire) is fine. Both sides will probably be red because it is still the "hot" wire.

That is probably how it is set up in the depot kit. I didn't bother making a real electical diagram, because if you don't know how to wire you probably couldn't read the diagram anyway.
