i am not bashing imports but it has always seemed kinda odd that some of these low displacement imports/sport compacts can kick out some serious numbers on the dyno and have have a great output per liter but why cant they put this power to the ground when it counts. i was at the dragstrip tonite and there were a few good imports out there. SVT focus and GSR integra stood out a little. these cars ran consistant 10s in the 1/8th i know it has alot to do with the driver b/c face it some of these kids just cant drive. but even ran to their full potential at stock power i really aint too impressed. i just feel that 180hp should be able to do more than it is doing. what are these kids doing wrong? what should they be modifing to really use what power they have? it makes me feel bad when my friends stock DX runs high 10s-low 11s and these other cars with near double the hp are only doing less than a second better times. help me to understand this and again im not bashing sport compacts only trying to understand why alot of them dont live upto their specs.
