30 second society...agree or disagree?
so we have this wonderful thing called the internet that we use for about everything anymore.
We meet people, get news, watch movies, music, books, games, etc.
Its great we can do anything we like and go about anywhere we want and be anyone we want. Searches yield great amounts of information, images we might never otherwise see, news we may never get, and friends we would have never met.
It makes legends of nobodys, reputations both built and ruined, entire digital empires from nothing.
But is it a good thing? has our attention span gone to nothing?
we can blame ADD/ADHD or whatever name is the cool thing this week but is it because we have nothing to truly focus on for more than 30 seconds at a time?
DSL/Cable Modem/T lines all move information so fast we get mad at our systems if they take more than 20 seconds to load a page...when the case not too long ago was being happy that you could get your 56k modem to dial in at 49k consistently.
Whats your thoughts on this?
