I agree, sometimes people DO perform the same or a little better, but this isn't something somebody themselves should diagnose. If they're stressed out, there are better coping skills. If you really want a straight answer my dad works in human resources and hires are fires a lot of people.
Habitual drug use doesn't usually come with an elite crowd, unless you're a rich kid in high school. I mean no offense with what I say.
Well, here in Boulder, just about everyone smokes pot or has smoked pot at some point, from the highschool kids to the rich yuppies, business owners etc... Thats just the demographic of a spiritual haven (as many people see it) like boulder. So you can't really say anything about someone's lifestyle/crowd in that respect, at least not here.
If I were hiring, I would prefer to hire a sober guy over a marijuana + guy, sure. But thats different from saying that the drug has a direct correlation to work performance. Now, if it were coke or anything hard, that would be a totally different story. I just don't think weed is as big a deal as people make it out to be. I'd be more concerned hiring an alcoholic than a pothead
for sure. That comes from plenty of experience with working with both.
