uhh looks like we are not really talking about the same thing. when i meant K series, i only meant the K20 series in DC5 cars, cus we are talking about RSX-S right?
the other K engine found in CRV (K24), is very different from the K20 engines, they may all have a K in the beginning, but they don't really share much similarities, or the technology.
the Civic coupe, seden never was a K engine, they have always been D series engine, D16 series before 2001, D17 after 2001.
u mentioned u work at honda, so now I wonder if u get to work on the RSX's K20 engines? because RSX will go to Acura if they have a problem. So i guess u meant that you work on the Civic Si engine, K20A3, which is a extreme downgrade. RSX-S 's K20A2 on the other side is not too much different from the type R's K20A, so i don't think it's fair to compare things from what u may have seen on the K20A3.
