I was installing a kenwood a few weeks ago. Was working, cool.. had just tested unit hooked up - it rocked.. so I was remounting it while it was playing and I guess some wires got pushed back there and it shut off. Wouldn't work, yet my stock unit would work. Thought harness was fried. New harness.. still no kenwood.

Bah I said, didn't pay anything on the KW.. so I got a panasonic and was wiring that up and did it the right way.. wired - test - NOTHING! Absolutely dead.. wouldn't turn on at all.

Turned out to be fuse under hood, the 7.5 Shoulda known, my clock wasn't working or anything either. Strange how stock unit worked though.

Hope your problem is the same - cost me 5 cents to get working, and now I can sell the previously thought to be fried kenwood
