so do i have to get a new wireing harness for it? (im not sure about this) and when i got the car it had some fog lights on it and a switch. so i took off the switch and just lef tthe wires that was on the switch. so i put them behind the plastic cover (lower right side of steering wheel) and im guessing touched something metal, so i dont know. thanks for the help
EDIT-- i checked fuses and noticed 15A is for cig lighter and head unit. so i checked to see if cig lighter gets hot and it doesnt. so do i just replace that fuse? and how chould i go about doing this (do i have to disconnect battery, etc?) btw im a slight newb when it comes to wireing and fuses, especially on a car)

Just pop the new fuse in but leave everything off no Keys in the igniton
Just check to make sure those wires arent grounding out anywhere or exposed and you should be good to go
