i'm not sure where you guys live, but you must remember that certain computer components are prone to failure under extreme weather conditions. ie: 150+ in your car parked outside during the summer or -20 during the winter. on top of all that you must also remember normal desktop components are made to just sit on the desktop and not absorb the vibrations of a car ride. your best bet is to get an old laptop since they are somewhat immune to a mobile enviroment and come in such a small form factor. it will be easier to mount it under the seat or even in your glove box for easy cd/dvd-rom access. okay theres my 2 cents.
