Won't mess up the clutch or gears. Don't know if I would go stomping on the gas. Will this flood the engine? Anyone know? I really don't know about that. When I used to ride dirt bikes in the desert, using the gas when it wasn't on would flood the engine.
Don't really see the point though. Your not going to learn to drive stick until you just go ahead and try. You may learn where all the gears are if you don't already know, and you may learn how to press down the clutch if you don't know how to do that, but I imagine you won't need any training in those departments. The trick with stick is learning when to push the gas and release the clutch so your car doesn't stall, and the only way to do that is by actually trying it with the car running. Why can't you go to an empty parking lot? Just have a friend or whoever is teaching you take you over.
