cv joints are just fine but the tranny is toasted, as i suspected, axles spin freely and independant of each other while in any gear, if u step on the gas while having it in gear the speedometer flys up but of course the car moves nowhere. so i'm now starting the search of a new tranny, and might as well do an after market clutch and flywheel while i open it up this time. probably 2-4 weeks of downtime though, since i do my own labor in my off time.
