I dunno. If I had been given that chance when I left the Academy of Art College at age 20, I'd have jumped at the chance. But in the last five years, while I've drifted away from my HS friendships and met new people working and attending classes at COM, I've been recharging my spiritual batteries in a way.
Despite the hassles of everday life, the thing that had me down as I left HS was that I was so unsure of how I'd get to where I wanted to be in life. Now that I have a concrete plan to transfer to SDSU next fall, and graduate in 2006 with a BA in journalism, I feel confident in myself for once.
That feeling I'd never trade.
