When installing the Edelbrock Performer X kit nothing other than an engine in good condition is needed to make 177 hp & 140 ft-lb smog legal. When the Open Track version of the Peformer X is engine dyno tested next month, more info will be out about what needs to be done to run the kit in higher boost configurations. Using the kit as it is recieved, the fuel and spark control require no extra tuning and the way it is tuned the stock fuel pump works fine for 7psi.
Later if you want to go to higher power and boost levels upgrades to the fuel system can then be done. The kit hardware will be up for it.
