You guys should be using the gas recommended by your owner's manual. Special case is the 7th gen accord, which gains 10HP on premium because Honda can get better operating costs by claiming the car needs 87 rather than 91.

R&T did a test a year back or so in which 8 cars (one of them a V6 Accord) were tested with their recommended fuel and then some other fuel (with the Accord, 91, and with the others 91 or 87) and in EVERY case the cars lost a little horsepower/torque except for a Saab 9-3 turbo which lost a lot of horsepower and torque...like 10hp/10ft-lbs. But my point is that you're wasting your money by thinking like an idiot that the octane number actually influences how much performance your car has or what mileage you get. But hey, if it makes you feel better in your head :dunno:
