i didn't hear about anything for landlines when moving, only when changing providers. moving still requires a new phone #, unless you are moving within the exchange area. changing home providers allows you to keep your number. we changed to comcast digital phone service as a package deal with the cable & high speed internet, and kept our original phone #.
