since i used to live in the same neighborhood.... one big loop (kreitler & kreitler valley) is 1 mile, almost exactly. do one clockwise and one counter clockwise so you get to go up and down all those hills - that's how i got in shape for soccer practice back in the day. i think a figure 8 (going down baywood) is like 1.6 or 1.8 miles.. clocked it a long time ago so i don't really remember. from my house to the neighborhood, around the big loop and back to my house is a 5k - 3.1 miles.
do crunches and pushups if you don't have access to free weights for bench, curls, squats, etc... if your college has a gym, go there and lift. there will probably be someone there who will be able to help spot you.
