GRAN TURISMO IS A GAME, GENIUS! THAT AUTOMATICALLY MAKES IT FAKE!!

I suppose you could make a better console driving sim with your excellent programming skills, huh? Or maybe your computer knowledge ends with changing HAN users posts to read like one of your gay wet dreams?

Another point you've obviously missed about GT is that not all the cars in the game are race cars. There are MANY regular vehicles. So while "manufacturers realize damage happens in racing situations" and might not be adverse to showing such, many of them do NOT like the products they sell to the general public to show damage in a video game. Don't believe me? Ask anyone less ignorant than yourself if this isn't the truth as to why GT has never featured visible car damage...
Well putting streetable cars into a racing game makes them race cars on a programmers level...any idiot with half a brain knows this.

I never claimed I could do the programming now did I? but I merely was pointing out what it would take to make the game fun and what a lot of people have actually complained about with the GT series both to Sony as well as on many gaming forums.

Just because they are available to the general public does not make it any less suceptible to damage in racing situations and if you had the half brain you claim you would also realize that every car featured has and will be raced since under the SCCA rules guidelines each of these cars have a classification level.

 grow up fanboy
