Here's a story:

You're at a light on a two line highway with your girlfriend driving you hooked up volkswagen. a civic pulls up that wants to race, the light turns green and you gun it. suddenly, you lose control of you car and you slam into a telephone pole.

your girlfriend (who had no part in this, except for being a passenger) dies instantly. you die later in the hospital.

this happened last year to a couple i went to high school with.

street racing is like drunk driving. you're not only putting your dumb ass at risk, but all the people around you.
