I think JL amps are great, except for one thing.....their power levels are AWEFUL. I think they did their homework. Nicely adjustable crossovers, well placed controls and connections. I can't say I like the RIPS system, but they need some smaller amps. Say a 50x2 or a 75 x 2. It's virtually impossible to run a horn setup with their amps b/c of their stupid selections.

PPI was the best in that respect. The PC class amps had tons of different models from tiny to huge.
