he already had it mounted to the mdf....and ive never used a cd changer before. i thought they would ground out onto the frame like amps.

most i've found (that work with aftermarket units through their own connections , such as Ai-net and Ce-Net) don't ground right onto a frame but the wiring itself powers and controls everything.
