please be specify from now on when you talk about tranny problems, it would help.

im not clear on what you're referring to when you say "slipping tranny" but when your clutch is slipping, the clutch doesnt grip and the rpms continue to increase during acceleration, yet the car is not going any faster. Sort of like revving in neutral but with a little more restriction.
that's what happens when you auto tranny is slipping not your clutch.
