i find it amusing that most of us made valid points and you laugh at us...as if you don't see the reasoning behind what we are saying. it's not a question of ice cold water, it's the fact that the engine is nearing 200 degrees fahrenheit and you're putting water that is probably no more than 50 degrees on it. like the ice example, that is about 150 degrees difference. ice is about 30 degrees, and hot coffee can near 170-180 degrees when first poured. again, 140-150 degrees different. if you make that drop in a matter of seconds, things can and do break.

but whatever, you're the expert. watch out for that ice cold water/snow.
