For anyone without said supplies, the cube will violenly crack within seconds of being put into the hot liquid. Sometimes just a crack sometimes parts come flying out cause of the crack.
And also, most good detail shops do wash the engine. BUT, usually after it's been sitting and been vaccumed, washed, etc. IE: been sitting for 30-60 mins.
