Try to find some good quality 2.5" drop springs like Tenzo or Goldline and do the steps I outlined above and you will have one of the tightest looking rides around. 
Tenzo is not quality. honestly if you want to be lower than 2 inches your best bet is coilovers. that way you can play with it and raise it if you need to.
