I want you to do something for me..Your lagging into First on your 97 Accord,, your car a has a cable from the throttle body to the trans,, I want you to loosen that cable on the transmission side, then start the car,, crack the throttle at the throttle cable,, adjust the transmission cable so it moves at exacty the sames time,,This adjustment determines, both gear engagement point and pressure to your clutches,, see If that helps,,??Thanks for your Questions
